The trip was planned with a fair amount of lead time, giving Sally a chance to get her girls ready for someone staying in their playroom for a week. One of my favorite stories is how the girls first thought I was a kid and then when they found out that I was an adult, they worried the bed wouldn't be long enough! Too cute.
*Sally and Adrian actually made the bed and some of the bedding. Check it out on her blog.*
It had been a very looooong time since I've seen the gang. Sally's twins and Sabrina's little girl were only 1 year olds the last time I'd seen them. And Madison, Michael and Parker hadn't even been born! So I was worried the kids would be a little shy around me. Ha! Charlotte quickly became my new best friend. If I'd had a booster seat I might have taken her home with me. We hung out all week, reading stories, picking out clothes, eating ice cream. Perfect.

It felt great to just hang out and reconnect. We had a nice BBQ with Iola's potatoes and brownie sundaes for dessert. Yumm.
Adrian enjoying the BBQ.
Not the greatest shot of Aarin. Bad photographer.
Adrian introduced me to Rock Band. I must day I'm not a bad bassist. You know, in case you need one. I introduced Sally to Boom Blox and quickly got schooled. Next time I'm challenging her to Mario Kart instead. Or Tetris. Or Dr. Mario.

While we got in plenty of girl time we totally forgot to take the traditional picture of all of us. Very sad. The closest I got was a car shot of me, Sally, and Donnie. Sally got a good shot of me, Donnie, and Sabrina. Bummer that we didn't get all four of us.
Totally random half shot of Donnie. Turns out that partial shots of Donnie in the car are sort of another tradition.
