One thing I love about spring and summer is the Beaverton Farmer's Market. It opened this past Saturday--on a beautiful sunny day! It's still relatively early in the season so a lot of our favorite stalls were a little sparse but just knowing what is coming makes me happy.
Our loot. Not too much this first day. Hidden in the bags are snap peas and carrots. The strawberries were definitely early--not as good as they will get but still better than what Safeway has. Seann had to get the chocolate sauce. It's his favorite for ice cream and we can only get it at the farmer's market. It can make for a long winter if we don't stock up.
We also got a Red Alert tomato plant. I planted it Sunday and am hoping this one does better than the one we had last year. Fresh tomatoes=yummy.
