President's Day

Yesterday was President's Day and one of the rare days that both Seann and I have off. Since I work weekends, holidays are pretty much it. It was a beautiful day here in Oregon with blue skies and bright sun (I don't mean to rub it in for those of you covered in snow).

Well, maybe just a little.

Since it was so nice we decided we all needed a long walk, not just through the neighborhood to the park. So we got out the leashes and we headed out. We didn't want to drive anywhere so we walked through our neighborhood opposite of our normal route. The dogs were very excited to have a change of pace and lots of new and exciting scents to smell.

Over here Dad, I gotta sniff.

About a mile and a half down the road we came to the Paula Jean Powerline Park. It's a nice big space for the pups to sniff and they had a wonderful time.

We had no real destination in mind and pretty much just wandered around until we came to a good stopping point at Indian Hills Elementary School and then turned and headed back. It was about twice as long (maybe a smidge longer) than our normal walk and by the time we got home Oscar was pretty much toast. He doesn't have much stamina.

Here's a look at a few pictures I took:

Cause we're cute.

Trying to be artistic.
