Makin' Changes

You will probably notice a few changes around here in the coming days/weeks. I am finally beginning to play around with my Photoshop Elements a little. I imagine I will be changing my header quite a bit as I try out new fonts and papers. So bear with me a bit while I play--eventually I'll settle on something I really like. Maybe it will even have pictures.

In the meantime, here's a couple pictures of me & Seann at the zoo to keep you interested.

What a wonderful surprise

A couple weeks ago, Seann told me to clear my work schedule for this weekend because he had a surprise for me. Now, Seann is horrible at keeping secrets, but he managed to keep this one until Friday night. Valerie and Connie were flying up from San Jose on Saturday morning!!

Instead of meeting at lunch like was originally planned Seann and I decided that we would turn the tables and surprise Connie and Val. We took the MAX to the airport and waited for them to walk out of the gate and then followed them to the escalator where we were discovered. I don't think Val and Connie will ever forgive Seann for spoiling the surprise, but I had a blast and am very glad he did.

The trip wasn't very long but we managed to squeeze in a ton of fun anyway. As is our tradition, we decided to have a game night, with Seann filling in for Shipping Sean who couldn't make the trip. We played Taboo, Pictionary, Uno and Sorry and I don't think we got to bed until 1:00 in the morning.

Thank you guys so much for making the trip! It was so great to see you and I can't wait to see you again in May.

Girl's Weekend

This past weekend Jesse and Mary Jane and Maggie & Todd all came to town for a visit. It was so much fun!! The last time we were all together was our wedding in 2006. Seann and I got to show off our new house and new puppies. I think Todd was a little jealous of the puppies. He really enjoyed rolling around on the floor with them. And for their part, the dogs were really well behaved. Charlie even gave up his spot on the couch.

On Saturday the girls all went to get our nails done while the boys took the dogs to the park. Then we headed downtown for dinner where we had the best waiter. And call us geeks, but we actually played a little bit of Uno while we were there. A six-person game, let me just warn you, can last a loooooong time. But it was so much fun. We spent Sunday at the zoo after a really lazy morning. And now it's back to work.
