Oh my goodness

I can't believe it has been a month! I know it isn't really an excuse, but I have been in school. How many more times can I use that before you hurt me?

November was a good month. School has been going well. Very busy and lots to do, but we get to do fun stuff too. A couple weeks ago we trekked over to OMSI for a field trip. I'd never been, so I was a bit excited. We got in for free and after a short presentation, we were on our own. I saw some really interesting exhibits, especially in the Life Science Hall. That biological stuff has always intrigued me. Right now they are doing Mindbender Mansion which was a lot of fun too. Lots of puzzles and things that don't necessarily make sense on the surface. But that was cut short because a few of us decided to go on the submarine tour. Not our best decision.

They have a real submarine in the river next to the museum. They give tours and apparently also host "overnight camps" in the sub. Might have been cool when I was a kid, but now the smell of diesel and the cramped quarters were getting to me after 10 minutes. There really was a lot of neat stuff to see and it still astounds me that so many sailors live on these things at a time. There was no room on that boat. All that moving around space you see in U-571? Totally false. It was ridiculous down there and there was only about a dozen of us.

We did remember to snap a picture:

Seann and I had a good Thanksgiving at Kelsey & Andy's--Thanks again guys! It was nice to be with friends and even nicer not to have to cook a turkey! Now my Christmas shopping is almost done, my Christmas cards are ready to go. All I have to do now is finish my homework! Then I have a blissful couple of weeks with no school and no practicum. It will be nice not to have to get up at 6:00 every morning.

Happy December!
