Butterflies

Every night before any big event or new thing, I always have trouble sleeping. I get little butterflies in my stomach. Not necessarily because I am nervous about whatever it is that is happening, but often because I am afraid of oversleeping and screwing it all up! So anyway, I'm planning on not getting a lot of sleep tonight since tomorrow I meet The Kids. I'm as ready as I can be and I met several of them last week already. I'm comfortable with my cooperating teacher and I know that I am mostly there to observe the first couple of weeks. But still, the butterflies are there. I went shopping today to get some school appropriate pants only to discover that the only pants out right now are the fancy office appropriate kind that cost $75+. Call me crazy, I'm not willing to spend $75 on a pair of pants that I'll wear teaching a bunch of 4th graders (and kindergartners!). So my pants search will continue. In the meantime, The Kids will have to deal.
