Oscar Lite

Oregon has fairly mild weather. Cold but not too cold in the winter and hot but not too hot in the summer. Perfect for Megans. Not so perfect for Oscars. He loves the winters, but he tends to be a little, sluggish, when it gets warm. He'll hide in the bathroom on the cool floor or find the one spot of shade to sleep in. During the winter, Oscar can stay and play at the dog park for hours. When the temp gets above 70, Oscar is pretty much done half an hour in. Something had to be done.

Out came the clippers.

Oscar's fur was at least three inches in most places, often longer. So Seann popped on the one inch guide and gave Oscar a trim. Oscar was surprisingly cooperative. For Oscar anyway.

We headed to the dog park after the haircut.

Oscar seemed to enjoy his new 'do. He didn't hide in the shade and he didn't park himself by the water. (Although he did stick his paw in the dish. He did that when we first got him last year but then never did it once all winter. Now, he's back to sticking his paw in the water. We think it helps him cool down.)

He even played with Charlie.

But Charlie can wear a guy out.

Charlie has lots of energy.
